Batteries for electric cars are very specific products that require specific handling. Industrial halls used for battery storage differ from ordinary halls in several ways.

"Panattoni has extensive worldwide experience in the construction of industrial properties for the automotive sector, including logistics halls for the storage of batteries for electric vehicles. An example is the hall of the Maersk company in the neighboring Czech Republic, which is equipped with a number of safety features that guarantee completely safe handling of batteries for electric cars," says Erik Ivaničko, director of Panattoni Slovensko.

In addition to storage and packaging, Maersk also provides in-depth quality control and battery charging services at the building in Panattoni Park Teplice South. In this completely unique building, it offers additional value-added services within the supply chains of the automotive industry.

In accordance with the specific requirements related to the handling of large batteries for electric cars, the Panattoni company equipped the building with thermal monitoring cameras and installed fire sprinklers directly in the shelves. In addition, the entire storage area is divided into four independent, fire-resistant sections.

Modern electric vehicle battery factories can produce a large number of batteries every day. Such a large volume of production may also require the construction of additional buildings for subsequent services, such as intermediate storage of components or assembly of shipments for the distribution of finished batteries to customers from the automotive industry in Slovakia or in neighboring countries. Panattoni is ready to use its know-how to build safe and sustainable
buildings for the entire ecosystem associated with the production of batteries for electric vehicles.
