In 2022, Prologis recorded the highest rent growth in both nominal and real terms since 2007, when it first introduced the Prologis Rent Index report. Global rents increased by 30% year-on-year (21% real growth), significantly surpassing the previous record of 17% (10% real growth in 2021).

BILLA opened a unique logistics center for 39.5 million euros

With an investment of 39.5 million euros, it confirms its position as an important player in retail, a strong investor and employer. The modern and ecological campus on a green meadow with an area of 138,202 square meters grew up in the industrial zone of the city of Sereď and is comparable to the area of 20 football fields.

VGP Park Bratislava Welcomes New Tenant: Dirks Consumer Slovakia leases 43,320 m2

VGP, the owner, manager and developer of semi-industrial and logistics real estate, has handed over newly completed premises in the first phase of VGP Park Bratislava to the logistics company Dirks Consumer Slovakia. The company has leased the entirety of Hall A with a total area of 43,320 m2. It will be used as a warehouse and distribution point for their client, an online vendor of pet food and pet supplies. A large part of European markets will be served from there. The new hall was built at the BREEAM Very Good green certification level.

For the first time, 1 billion EUR was reinvested in the commercial real estate market in Slovakia

Since 2020, the commercial real estate market has been tested by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, the whole world also had to deal with the war conflict in Ukraine, while this conflict naturally resulted in months of uncertainty in the field of commercial real estate as well. Despite this, it was the strongest year in the history of Slovakia in terms of total investment volume. For the first time, more than one billion euros was reinvested in the commercial real estate market in Slovakia.

The Kittsee Logistics Park received a building permit

The development company ZV Logistik Park GmbH received a building permit for its project Logistics Park Kittsee. On the outskirts of the Austrian village of Kittsee, in the immediate vicinity of the A6 highway, an area for logistics and business operations is to be built in the Kittsee Business Park. "Already an important business location has the potential for further growth," explains the development company.

Panattoni's Slovak branch recorded its strongest year in history

The industrial hall developer Panattoni has had a very successful year in Slovakia. The industrial area, Panattoni Park Košice Airport, the first project of the Slovak branch, was fully occupied in a record short time. In the next project, Panattoni Park Bratislava North, the first two halls have already been completed. In 2022, a total of 3 industrial halls with a total area of more than 38,000 m2 were completed, creating more than 160 new jobs. About 100 more jobs will soon be added to them.

Interest in both logistics and production premises still persists

This is a very turbulent period for development, especially in terms of rising construction costs. Projects are becoming more expensive due to inflation, or the increase in prices and the unavailability of some materials. This affects not only the total price, but also the completion dates.

P3 officially opened a new hall in the park P3 Bratislava D2 near Lozorn

The newest DC7B hall in the logistics park P3 Bratislava D2 near Lozorn is officially in full operation. Long-term clients of P3 Logistic Parks found space for the expansion of their business in it. They are IHLE, a European wholesaler of automotive tires and wheels, and MX Logistika SL, a distribution warehouse for the MÖBELIX chain of furniture stores. It is also the largest tenant of P3 with a total leased area of approximately 69,000 m2.
