The offer of vacant logistics real estate decreased by up to 50% year-on-year

The latest survey by the global real estate consulting company CBRE showed that the supply of vacant logistics real estate in Europe has reached a new low. The average vacancy rate is currently just below 2.3%, which represents a year-on-year decrease of up to half. CBRE records the same decline in Slovakia as well.

dm drugstore will move to a new building in Prologis Park Bratislava

The company dm drogerie markt has signed a long-term lease agreement for warehouses with an area of 30,000 square meters with offices covering an area of 3,000 square meters. "The construction meets the specific needs of the company, which are mainly related to the temperature optimization of warehouses. Tailor-made technological elements include warehouse cooling or the installation of inflatable collars to prevent heat leakage around loading ramps, "said Peter Hyža, project manager at Prologis.

Lidl has expanded its logistics center in Sered by 12,000 square meters

New jobs and even higher comfort for Lidl customers are the two main results of the expansion of the Sereď Logistics Center. The area of one of the most environmentally friendly industrial buildings in the world has increased by 12,000 square meters, a quarter of its original area. The total investment amounted to 13 million euros, with construction work lasting nine months. In connection with the expansion of the warehouse, Lidl hired 40 new core employees. Over the last twelve months, Lidl has created more than 300 new jobs for an indefinite period and has recruited hundreds more during the first and second waves of the coronavirus pandemic.

New production and storage halls will be built in the Šalková industrial park

In the Šalková industrial park in Banská Bystrica, new production and storage halls will be added on a total area of 11,500 m2. According to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) plan, the Nitra company Besico Real Estate intends to invest around EUR 5 million in construction. In addition to the storage of goods, the building also has light production and assembly for the automotive and electrochemical industries.
