Lidl has expanded its logistics center in Sered by 12,000 square meters

New jobs and even higher comfort for Lidl customers are the two main results of the expansion of the Sereď Logistics Center. The area of one of the most environmentally friendly industrial buildings in the world has increased by 12,000 square meters, a quarter of its original area. The total investment amounted to 13 million euros, with construction work lasting nine months. In connection with the expansion of the warehouse, Lidl hired 40 new core employees. Over the last twelve months, Lidl has created more than 300 new jobs for an indefinite period and has recruited hundreds more during the first and second waves of the coronavirus pandemic.

A new developer will complete the Žilina industrial park near the airport

CTP, a developer of industrial real estate based in the Netherlands, announces the acquisition of an industrial park in Žilina. The park is located in a strategic location near Žilina Airport. Upon completion, CTPark Žilina Airport will provide a leasable space of 145,000 square meters. CTP plans to invest 200 million euros in Slovakia in the next two years in order to more than double its current Slovak portfolio of 460,000 square meters in 12 locations. The company informed about it on Tuesday.

As many as 60% of investors across Europe focused on the real estate market indicate that in 2021 they will invest more than last year. The aim is to increase market liquidity. Germany should be the first to recover from the corona crisis in real estate investment in Europe. London is also very attractive for investors. Investors continue to be most interested in office real estate (35%), but residential properties (24%) are also gaining more and more prominence. Investors' interest also persists in the area of industrial and logistics real estate (22%).
