To this end, it has set new and ambitious goals.

Martin Baláž: Smart solutions are closely related to significant energy savings and higher sustainability

"Many smart solutions have already become a standard part of Prologis buildings, such as the intelligent system for remote control of energy consumption in buildings. We also recently introduced the Prologis Essentials Marketplace platform on the Slovak market, with which our customers can order other prefabricated or tailor-made solutions,” says Martin Baláž, vice president and country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia of Prologis.

Supply chain shortening is not on the agenda yet

"Shipment volumes are growing and the whole world today faces a shortage of containers for the transport of goods. Maritime transport is busy, but also railways, and in the coming months, we certainly do not expect a major decline and release of capacity, quite the contrary. Shortening supply chains is not on the agenda yet,” says Aleksander Raczysnki, CEO of the Gefco Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, in an interview.

CTP already has 292 properties certified

European real estate commercial developer CTP has the most environmentally friendly portfolio of industrial real estate in Central and Eastern Europe. A total of 292 CTP buildings in approximately one hundred different locations in six countries have confirmed their BREEAM In-Use status at "Very Good" or higher. A number of properties have reached the "Excellent" level. This means that the company is the greenest industrial real estate developer in Central and Eastern Europe and ranks among the best in Europe.

New logistics park Opatovce - Trenčín

Design office STAT-KON s.r.o. is currently working on a project for a new logistics park in Opatovce near Trenčín. The park consists of 3 main buildings with a total area of 51,650 m2 on an area of 23.7 hectares.

IPEC is building a research and development center in Senica and is preparing other projects

The IPEC development group started the construction of a research and development center and production halls in the Senec industrial park for a German investor. In the first phase, a research and development center will be created here by partial reconstruction and attached new construction of existing buildings, in which highly qualified engineers will find work. Subsequently, new production halls with a total area of up to 20,000 m² will be added. They will arise next to existing production facilities. The developer and owner of the project is IPEC, the builder is Strabag. A total of 70 engineers will find work here in the first phase. The German manufacturer will lease the capacity from IPEC for 15 years. The building will be handed over to the user in August 2021.

Industry and logistics in Central and Eastern Europe attract investors

The latest ExCEEding Borders: Industrial and Logistics Market report in CEE-17 discusses key trends, challenges, technologies, the labor market, and investment incentives in the sector. It identified key challenges, including the availability of land and real estate in locations that meet the expectations of both developers and end-users. Availability and reliability of public services, connection to transport infrastructure, availability and skills of the workforce, and access to investment incentives.

GLP has completed GLP Park Bratislava Senec

GLP, an investor and developer of logistics facilities and distribution parks, has leased 19,000 m2 of warehouse space in its Slovak park GLP Park Bratislava Senec to Alza and a unit with an area of 11,000 m2 to Hortim. Alza is the largest online retailer and innovator in the field of e-commerce in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2014, Alza launched a plan to expand to Europe and is currently active in many European countries. The company will use its warehouse as a place to pick up orders from the car, as well as a distribution hub for customers in Slovakia, but also parts of Moravia and Hungary.
