The future of logistics real estate in Slovakia looks promising

The total rental activity on the market of industrial and logistics premises in Slovakia reached the level of 75,000 m² in the 3rd quarter of this year. Of this number, renegotiations accounted for only 9,650 m2. The volume of total rental activity thus decreased compared to the same period last year.

IPEC is building a research and development center in Senica and is preparing other projects

The IPEC development group started the construction of a research and development center and production halls in the Senec industrial park for a German investor. In the first phase, a research and development center will be created here by partial reconstruction and attached new construction of existing buildings, in which highly qualified engineers will find work. Subsequently, new production halls with a total area of up to 20,000 m² will be added. They will arise next to existing production facilities. The developer and owner of the project is IPEC, the builder is Strabag. A total of 70 engineers will find work here in the first phase. The German manufacturer will lease the capacity from IPEC for 15 years. The building will be handed over to the user in August 2021.

Lidl is expanding its logistics center in Sered

Lidl SR is expanding its logistics center in Sered and will employ 40 new regular employees. This warehouse will grow by a quarter of its original area. The total amount of the investment is approximately 13 million euros, the construction work is to last nine months. Tomáš Bezák, head of the company's communication department, informed about it. In Slovakia, Lidl has 144 stores and three logistics centers, while Sered supplies 55 goods in western and southern Slovakia.

European markets have stabilized, says Prologis

European markets have stabilized as a result of the gradual dissipation of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, with strong investor demand in the sector leading to a compression of yields. With the stabilization of markets, the prospects for rent growth have also improved. Supply-side barriers have been maintained due to the low level of speculative construction in most continental European countries.
