Completion of the section D1 Lietavská Lúčka - Dubná Skala with the Višňové tunnel will start on April 23
The completion of the D1 Lietavská Lúčka - Dubná Skala motorway section, including the Višňová tunnel worth more than EUR 254.8 million, will begin on Friday 23 April. The National Motorway Company (NDS) received an official notification from the Public Procurement Office, which completed the inspection before signing the contract. In practice, according to the Minister of Transport Andrej Doležal, this means that a contract with a new contractor is signed in his presence on Friday, the construction site is handed over and construction begins.
No objections were received regarding the evaluation of bids in the public procurement for the completion of the 13.5-kilometer section D1 Lietavská Lúčka - Dubná Skala with the 7.5-kilometer-long Višňové tunnel. The winning bid from Skanska SK a.s. Slovakia, Skanska a.s. Czech Republic and Skanska S.A. Poland for more than 254.8 mil. eur. The aim of the Ministry and the NDS is to hand over the section of the motorway in question to motorists, including trucks, for use by the end of 2023 at the latest.
