On September 18, 2023, representatives of the management and employees of Daimler Truck & Bus Slovakia, representatives of the city of Senec, as well as the construction contractor met in Senec to ceremonially and symbolically knock on the foundation stone of the future Mercedes-Benz Truck Center Senec, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2024. In addition completely new premises, which are designed according to the most modern procedures, with an emphasis on a high degree of sustainability, about 50 new jobs will be created here during the first phase.
The new truck center will cover the sale and service of Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses, Setra buses and FUSO commercial vehicles in one place, including comprehensive services for customers. At the same time, it will house the management of Daimler Truck & Bus Slovakia, s. r. about. Representatives of the construction contractor, Metrostav Slovakia, a. p., mayor of Senec Pavol Kvál, representatives of architects from IPE-Consult, p. r. o., representatives of the parent company Daimler Truck AG, as well as the management and employees of Daimler Truck & Bus Slovakia, p. r. about.
"It is an honor to stand here with all of you today. Together we will build something extraordinary. Thank you for being with us at the beginning of our unforgettable adventure," said Ibrahim Demir, CEO of Daimler Truck & Bus Slovakia, p. r. about. The new Mercedes-Benz Truck Center is to be designed according to the most modern procedures, with an emphasis on a high level of sustainability. At the same time, the project also thinks about a friendly environment for customers, which owners of vehicles with a three-pointed star are used to. The Senec location was chosen because a large number of current Mercedes-Benz clients come to the logistics centers or pass through this location. Daimler Truck & Bus Slovakia is thus getting closer to car carriers and will offer them the highest standard of sales and service services.
Establishment of Daimler Truck & Bus Slovakia
The Slovak representation of the Mercedes-Benz brand in Slovakia underwent a fundamental transformation at the beginning of 2023. Effective January 1, 2023, the company split. Mercedes-Benz Slovakia continues to cover all activities related to sales and after-sales services in the field of passenger cars and vans. The newly established company Daimler Truck & Bus Slovakia, s.r.o. (DTBSK) is dedicated to the sale of trucks and buses and related customer services.
The general director of the new company DTBSK is Ibrahim Demir, who before the department of business with trucks and buses held the position of head of sales of trucks. The company DTBSK continues to fully ensure the sale of Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses, Fuso commercial vehicles and Setra buses, including related services for customers. At the same time, DTBSK remains a partner for the entire network of authorized truck and bus services in Slovakia.
