The planned investment by the Trnava carmaker Stellantis will probably also be supported by the state. The company applies for state aid in accordance with Slovak legislation and European Union rules. The aim is to remain competitive. Stellantis announced an investment of 180 million euros at the end of last month. It will be a completely new high-volume production program.
The gradual start of production of the new production program of segment B in Trnava is planned from 2023. A large part will also be represented by fully electric motors. According to the factory, it is premature to talk about specific brands and models. The preparatory work is announced for the summer, but the transformation of the plant will take place next year.
