The Supervisory Board of Jungheinrich AG has decided to create a new division "Automation" and has appointed Udo Panenka as a responsible member of the board of directors with effect from April 1, 2024. He was appointed for an initial term of three years. The management board of Jungheinrich thus expanded to five members.
In the future, Udo Panenka will be responsible for the newly created division, which will bring together all groups and resources focused on mobile robots, automatic storage solutions (ASRS) and warehouse equipment. In recent years, Jungheinrich has invested heavily in automation and significantly expanded its technological and regional presence in this area, mainly through acquisitions.
Rolf Najork, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Jungheinrich AG, says: “Automation is of fundamental strategic importance for Jungheinrich and has enormous potential. Udo Panenka is a leading manager with international experience. His expertise in automation, engineering, software and digitization makes him an excellent choice.”

Udo Panenka is currently the President of the Industrial Automation Division at the Canadian company ATS Corporation, a position he has held since May 2019. Between 2008 and 2018, he held various management positions within the American Danaher Group, first at Kollmorgen and then as President of Esko. Udo Paneka was born in 1969 in the German city of Aalen. He graduated in Business Administration (BA), is married and has two children.
