The VGP company is launching the construction of the extension of hall "F" in VGP Park Bratislava with a leasable area of 11,800 m2. The tenant is the international company Continental, a leading supplier of tires and technologies for the automotive industry. The handover of the newly completed premises, intended mainly for storage, will take place in June next year.
Continental develops pioneering technologies and services for the sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods. Founded in 1872, this technology company offers safe, efficient, intelligent and affordable solutions for vehicles, machinery, transport and transportation. In 2023, it achieved sales of 41.4 billion euros and employs approximately 200,000 people in 56 countries and markets.
"We have been operating a Continental regional distribution center in VGP Park Bratislava for more than 2 years. From it, we distribute tires of the entire range of our brands - to Slovakia, but also to the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and the countries of the Adriatic region. We are happy that we can expand our storage capacity, which will further enhance the level of service provided to our business partners," says Pavol Červenák, CEO of Continental Barum.
The building of the extension of hall "F" is designed with regard to the minimization of the ecological footprint and the efficient use of energy, while aspiring for the international BREEAM sustainability certificate. The entire VGP Park Bratislava offers a number of ecological solutions, including the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of buildings and charging stations for cars. It is occupied by renowned tenants, including DIRKS, Geis SK, Coca-Cola and Packeta Slovakia. In the future, the park will grow to a total of 11 halls with more than 400,000 m² of leasable area. By the end of this year, VGP plans to start the construction of hall "C", which is currently offered to potential tenants with a minimum unit size of 4,000 m². When fully completed, VGP Park Bratislava will be one of the largest parks in VGP's European portfolio.
